Analisis Wacana Kritis Sara Mills Kekerasan Seksual Pada Media Kompas Kekerasan Seksual Di Perguruan Tinggi Menjadi Masalah Besar

Abstrak

This analysis focuses on sexual violence that occurs against women in online media content. Good and quality media can provide balanced information. Some news about sexual harassment that is often experienced by women reflects a view. Currently, the exploitation of women is carried out in a more hidden and well-packaged way, one of which is through news in the media. Women in the media are often visually attractive, but often overlooked. If this situation is allowed to continue, the gender gap between women and men will be further strengthened, potentially worsening the situation for women as victims. This study will discuss discourse analysis using Sara Mills' theory. The focus of Sara Mills' research is discourse theory that emphasizes feminism as her main topic. She explores issues related to women, such as how women are portrayed in the media. This research method uses a literature study approach. Findings from research and literature studies show that the texts portray women unfairly in two media stories.
