Abstract

This study aims to test and analyze the effect of board size, audit committee independence, and managerial ownership on financial performance with board feminism as a moderating variable.

The population of this study is consumer cyclicals and non-cyclicals sector companies listed on the IDX for the period 2019-2023. Based on the purposive sampling method, 210 samples were obtained from 42 companies that met the criteria. The hypothesis testing of this study used Moderated Regression Analysis with the SPSS version 20 program.

This study shows that board size has a negative effect and audit committee independence has a positive effect on financial performance. Managerial ownership has no significant effect. Board feminism strengthens the effect of board size and weakens the effect of audit committee independence, but does not moderate the effect of managerial ownership on financial performance.

This study is a follow-up study used to clarify the conditions that cause differences in the results of previous studies. The update of this study is by adding the moderating variable of Feminism of the Board of Directors, as well as updates to the research object, namely in consumer cyclical and non-cyclical sector companies listed on the IDX for the period 2019 - 2023
